Job summary

Capital One seeks a Senior Manager, Full-Stack Engineer (People Leader) to drive technical vision and mentor engineers across teams. You will architect AI-enabled tooling, establish paved-road practices, and guide platform solutions that boost delivery speed, quality, and reliability.

You will coach a high-performing team, partner with product and leadership, and shape enterprise standards. This is a hands-on leadership role in McLean, VA with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS or related quantitative field.
• 6+ years in software engineering; internship excluded.
• 3+ years with public cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• 3+ years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Set AI-driven technical vision and roadmap for engineering and ops.
• Architect reusable AI accelerators and paved-road workflows.
• Lead and coach a multi-engineering team to excellence.
• Align cross-functional leaders to drive platform adoption.
• Define and track OKRs aligned to business outcomes.
