Job summary

Universal Music Group (UMG) is seeking a product manager to lead enterprise eCommerce data products. You will shape strategy, own data products, and partner with Commerce, Marketing, Finance, and Analytics to define trusted metrics and data definitions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience supporting enterprise eCommerce, D2C, retail, or digital commerce organizations.
• Experience delivering data products that support AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, or generative AI initiatives.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce processes including catalog, pricing, promotions, customer lifecycle, orders, fulfillment, subscriptions, and returns.
• Familiarity with Shopify or other major commerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, BigCommerce, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Champion AI-ready eCommerce data products by embedding governance, metadata, and observability into data products.
• Lead the strategy and execution of enterprise eCommerce data products and data marts as authoritative sources of truth for digital commerce performance.
• Partner with eCommerce, Marketing, Finance, and Analytics stakeholders to define trusted business metrics, KPIs, and data definitions.
• Define scalable dimensional models and semantic layers supporting sales, orders, customers, products, subscriptions, and lifecycle reporting.
• Establish data contracts with upstream platforms and source systems to improve reliability and predictability.
• Drive adoption of data products through documentation, semantic models, enablement, and training.
• Evaluate opportunities to improve data product usability and business outcomes with AI-enabled capabilities while maintaining governance, privacy, and data quality.
