Position: Senior Manager, Agile Practice Management

Compensation: $150,000-$165,000 Base Salary after conversion (flexible) + benefits, PTO, etc.

Duration: 6 month contract to full time hire

Hourly Rate: $68-$75/hr on contract + benefits

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Agile Practice Management to lead large-scale product large portfolio delivery initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. This leader will oversee agile execution, portfolio governance, financial and capital investment management, and organizational maturity efforts while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership.

The ideal candidate is an experienced people leader with a strong background in scaled agile delivery, portfolio management, and financial oversight. This individual will be responsible for driving delivery excellence across multiple product portfolios while developing talent, advancing agile practices, and influencing technology investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of strategic technology transformations and product initiatives totaling approximately $5M-$10M in annual investment.
• Partner with Executive Directors and senior leadership to align portfolio priorities with business and technology objectives.
• Establish and drive quarterly planning, product stand-ups, portfolio reviews, and governance processes.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies and ensure successful execution across multiple programs and product teams.

Agile Transformation & Practice Leadership

• Champion Scaled Agile methodologies and continuously improve enterprise agile maturity.
• Drive adoption of best practices across product delivery, program execution, and portfolio management.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational agility, operating models, and delivery effectiveness.
• Lead transformation initiatives that improve transparency, predictability, and value delivery.
• Oversee portfolio financials, forecasting, and investment planning.
• Manage technology funding models, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Analyze forecasted work, capacity planning, and investment performance.
• Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies to leadership.
• Utilize portfolio management tools such as Clarity or similar investment management platforms.
• Lead and develop Agile Practice Managers, Scrum Masters, Program Managers, and related delivery professionals.
• Partner closely with HR and Talent Development teams to support performance management, career progression, and succession planning.
• Build a high-performing organization focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and delivery excellence.
• Coach leaders on agile principles, change management, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

Required

• 8+ years of progressive experience in Agile Program Management, Portfolio Management, or PMO leadership.
• Experience leading large-scale product-based organizations and enterprise technology portfolios.
• Proven success driving Agile transformation efforts within complex environments.
• Strong financial management experience including forecasting, investment planning, budgeting, and risk management.
• Experience managing portfolios supported by large-scale resource organizations (1,000+ resources preferred).
