Job Description

Senior Manager, Adobe Experience Platform

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) leader to shape and deliver an enterprise‑scale customer data and journey orchestration ecosystem. This role combines architecture ownership with practical platform delivery: designing data models, configuring datasets and identities, building audiences, and enabling personalized customer journeys. The ideal consultant is equally comfortable guiding technical strategy and working directly with engineering, data, and marketing teams to make the platform reliable, scalable, and actionable.

What You’ll Do
Customer Data Platform Architecture
  • Design and configure AEP Real‑Time CDP capabilities, including XDM schemas, datasets, identity namespaces, merge policies, and profile strategies.
  • Create scalable audience designs for both streaming and batch segmentation use cases.
  • Establish practical governance standards for data labels, access controls, sandbox usage, and environment management.
  • Define approaches for profile quality, identity stitching, and deduplication across diverse customer data sources.
Data Modeling and Ingestion
  • Develop reusable, business‑aligned data models that support multiple brands, teams, and customer touchpoints.
  • Architect ingestion patterns for cloud storage, APIs, streaming events, web and mobile implementations, and batch files.
  • Partner with data engineering teams on source‑to‑target mapping, validation rules, and reconciliation with enterprise data platforms.
  • Improve data reliability by monitoring ingestion outcomes, data freshness, profile health, and segmentation performance.
Journey Orchestration and Activation
  • Design event‑driven customer journeys and decisioning logic using Adobe Journey Optimizer.
  • Enable coordinated engagement across email, SMS, push, in‑app, direct mail, and destination‑based activation channels.
  • Connect customer profiles and audiences to internal systems, marketing platforms, and external activation partners.
  • Develop scalable patterns for real‑time and batch audience activation.
Enterprise Integration and Platform Operations
  • Define integration standards for CRM, commerce, point‑of‑sale, analytics, mobile, web, and offline data sources.
  • Establish API‑led and event‑driven integration approaches, including webhook and publish/subscribe patterns.
  • Support platform provisioning, role management, release practices, and promotion across development, test, and production environments.
  • Advance configuration management and CI/CD practices where applicable.
  • Ensure platform solutions reflect consent, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including GDPR and CCPA considerations.
Technical Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor for data, engineering, and marketing stakeholders.
  • Translate business goals into clear, implementable customer data and activation architectures.
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, implementation standards, and operational runbooks.
  • Coach implementation teams on AEP and AJO design practices, platform capabilities, and delivery quality.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of production experience with Adobe Experience Platform Real‑Time CDP and Adobe Journey Optimizer.
  • Deep knowledge of XDM, identity resolution, profile management, merge policies, and batch and streaming segmentation.
  • Hands‑on experience with AEP ingestion methods, such as source connectors, streaming and batch APIs, and web or mobile SDKs.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, including APIs, ETL/ELT, event‑driven systems, and publish/subscribe integrations.
  • Experience connecting customer data platforms with CRM, marketing automation, advertising, data warehouse, and lakehouse technologies.
  • Working knowledge of JSON, JavaScript, SQL, and API testing tools.
  • Experience with cloud‑based data platforms and pipelines in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in an evolving product and delivery environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Adobe certification in AEP architecture, Real‑Time CDP, or Adobe Journey Optimizer.
  • Experience with Adobe I/O, AEP APIs, and platform automation.
