Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead production, post-processing, and shipping at the Knoxville site. This role bridges engineering and operations, directing two Supervisors and a 15+ person team to achieve safe, efficient, and high-quality output.

You will drive LPBF/MBJ capabilities and Lean initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has 8–12+ years in manufacturing with additive manufacturing exposure, strong leadership,

Qualifications

8–12+ years in manufacturing, with emphasis on advanced or additive manufacturing environments.
5+ years leading teams in production/manufacturing engineering with shown success.
Hands-on or applied experience with metal additive manufacturing processes such as LPBF and MBJ is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead daily production, post-processing, and logistics operations for the Knoxville site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution.
Provide direct leadership to two Operations Supervisors, and oversee a 15+ employee team.
Set daily/weekly priorities aligned with Production Control, balancing capacity and delivery commitments.
Support and advance additive manufacturing capabilities (LPBF/MBJ) from print readiness to final inspection.
Drive end-to-end workflows to transition from development to full-rate production.
Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve throughput and reduce waste.
Track metrics like on-time delivery, yield, and equipment utilization.
Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and regulatory requirements in aerospace/defense contexts.
Monitor performance and support cost control and productivity improvements.
Foster talent development through coaching and workforce planning.
