Senior Manager Actuarial Analytics *Remote*

Location: Job is fully remote, no specific location, but must reside in WA, OR, or CA for payroll purposes. Candidates in Washington, Oregon, or California are preferred. Relocation may be available for well-qualified applicants.

The Senior Manager Actuarial Analytics is responsible for producing pricing, forecasting, and reserving deliverables. This role involves coaching and prioritizing for direct reports and collaborating across departments to achieve organizational objectives.

The Senior Manager functions as a technical resource and mentor within the Actuarial department. Staying current on healthcare and actuarial trends, government regulations, analytic techniques, and data sources is essential.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading commercial pricing, rate setting, rate filing, forecasting, budgeting, and estimating risk adjustment and transfer payments.
2. Conducting monthly Line of Business analysis and presenting findings to senior leaders.
3. Collaborating across departments to meet organizational goals.
4. Keeping abreast of healthcare and actuarial trends affecting pricing and valuation.
5. Building relationships with leaders across various functions and external entities like CMS and provider groups.
6. Developing staff in analytic methods, communication, and project management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science, or related field.
• At least 5 years of healthcare actuarial experience, including Medicare Advantage pricing and bid development.
• Experience with SQL or similar programming languages.
• Proven project management skills in data and financial analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in relevant fields.
• FSA or ASA designation (Fellow or Associate of SOA).
• Experience certifying Commercial Rate Filing and Medicare Advantage Bid.
• Experience with revenue methodologies for Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Leadership experience managing independent professionals.

Skills and Certifications:

Proficiency in SQL or similar languages and project management in data/financial analysis.
