Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting to provide strategic direction and oversight for General Accounting, Billing, and Commissions Accounting across ~150 U.S. dealerships. The role leads end-to-end financial reporting, controls, and process improvements within Shared Services.

The Senior Manager will drive SOX compliance, develop policies, and partner with corporate, regional teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead large teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with US GAAP and audits.
• Automotive dealership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Lead SOX compliance and external audits.
• Manage a $7M operating budget and 100+ staff.
• Develop policies and internal controls.
• Partner with regional teams to align processes.
• Generate regular performance and operational reports.
• Drive process improvements and automation.
