Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting within the Controllers Group to lead a high-performing team responsible for end-to-end accounting, reporting, and analytics in a fast-paced financial services environment.

You will partner with executive stakeholders across the enterprise to govern GAAP disclosures, SEC filings, and regulatory reporting while driving process improvements and risk management in Richmond and related locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or Military experience) required.
• 7+ years in Accounting, Audit, or Finance.
• 3+ years in people management.
• CPA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for accurate accounting and financial reporting.
• Develop and govern accounting disclosures for GAAP/SEC reporting.
• Support external and internal audit coordination andSOX/compliance activities.
• Partner with Line of Business and leadership on initiatives and acquisitions.
