The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead during a time of transformation, as we automate our close and scale worldwide accounting operations. We're looking for a forward-thinking leader to own the accounting, close, and analytics across worldwide compensation, cloud, generative AI, technology services, and lease accounting! You'll apply strong U.S. GAAP judgment to complex, non-standard arrangements and drive high-impact process improvements and AI-enabled automation. If you build high-performing teams and thrive on solving novel accounting challenges, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Do
  • Lead the accounting operations for cloud, generative AI, and technology service arrangements, applying strong judgment on infrastructure spend, consumption-based contracts, and capitalization.
  • Partner with Technical Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, and Cloud Engineering to assess the accounting implications of new arrangements, contracts, and initiatives.
  • Operationalize technical accounting conclusions into journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, close procedures, and controls.
  • Own the close for worldwide compensation accounts, ensuring accurate accrual, recognition, and reporting of payroll, bonuses, commissions, severance, fringe benefits, and other compensation accruals.
  • Oversee compensation balance sheet reconciliations across all entities, keeping accounts audit-ready and resolving payroll-to-GL discrepancies.
  • Oversee the accounting for complex compensation transactions, including sales-commission capitalization, performance bonuses, and fringe and facility allocation and forecasting.
  • Lead analytics across the compensation portfolio, surfacing trends, drivers, and anomalies, and partnering with HR, Payroll, and FP&A to strengthen forecast accuracy.
  • Own lease accounting, including lease reviews, reconciliations, and journal entries using Tririga.
  • Own the flux analysis and executive reporting for compensation, cloud, and lease expenses, delivering precise analysis of trends, key drivers, and risks.
  • Drive process improvements and automation, including using AI tooling, to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting work.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team, and function as a strategic partner across Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Payroll, and FP&A.
  • Support additional accounting areas and initiatives as needed.
What You Need To Succeed
  • CPA license required, with experience in both public accounting firms and publicly traded multinational companies.
  • Strong technical accounting foundation under U.S. GAAP, including compensation, employee benefits, lease accounting and commission capitalization.
  • Strong autonomy and accountability, leading complex projects with minimal oversight.
  • Communicate with clarity and influence, effectively engaging executive leadership and diverse audiences.
  • Champion process improvements and innovation, using AI, automation, and analytics to boost efficiency and scalability.
  • Experience with cloud, SaaS, or consumption-based cost accounting and vendor-spend partnership is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems required, preferably SAP S/4HANA; proficiency in Blackline, Tableau, and Power BI is highly preferable.
