Job summary

Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) in Tysons Corner, Virginia, hybrid role, seeks a Communication Access Technology Manager to lead HLAA’s technology portfolio and align it with policy, industry engagement, and consumer education.

The manager will advance real-world user experiences in standards and policy discussions, oversee educational materials, and serve as HLAA’s senior expert on communication access technologies, with travel to the annual convention as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in hearing technology, accessibility, advocacy, or public policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead HLAA’s technology strategy and guide its implementation.
• Represent HLAA externally in national forums and industry settings.
• Advise the executive director and other department heads on technology developments.
• Oversee the ICAAT program and collaborate across departments.
