Job summary

Referment is seeking a senior associate for its management reporting team within Financial Operations in New York. You will turn imperfect information into clear, executive-ready analysis while supporting the team’s analytical capability and technology adoption.

The role focuses on compensation, business economics, and other strategic commercial questions, partnering with senior stakeholders to frame problems, deliver rigorous analyses, and present concise findings to leadership.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years’ experience in management-company finance, compensation consulting, or internal strategy within a large alternative asset manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or related field; an advanced degree is useful but not essential.
• Strong commercial judgment and experience producing sound analysis from incomplete data.
• Exceptional executive communication skills and a record of influencing senior decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior stakeholders on bespoke analysis relating to compensation, business economics, and strategic commercial questions.
• Frame ambiguous problems, structure rigorous analysis, and interpret results in a form that supports decisions.
• Present concise findings and new perspectives to senior audiences.
• Identify gaps in the team’s analytical approach and help expand its ability to address emerging needs.
• Lead initiatives involving generative AI, process improvement, automation, and technology adoption.
