Job summary

Referment, a partner to a global investment firm, seeks an associate focused on commercial data insights within its strategy and business development function in New York. You will translate complex data into recommendations guiding client engagement, product thinking and business strategy.

You will work with investor relations, external communications and data teams to define BI needs and present conclusions to senior leaders.

Qualifications

Referment is working with a global investment firm to hire an associate focused on commercial data insights within its strategy and business development function. The role works closely with investor relations and external communications, translating complex data into recommendations that shape client engagement, product thinking and business strategy.

You will combine hands-on analysis with stakeholder partnership. The work covers defining business intelligence needs, presenting conclusions to senior leaders, and collaborating with data and software teams to improve the information and systems behind commercial decisions.

The Role

• Collect, analyse and interpret data affecting marketing, client engagement, retention, product development and communications.
• Turn analysis into clear strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
• Partner with stakeholders to define business intelligence requirements and implement recommendations.
• Work with international data and engineering teams to improve analytical datasets and relevant business systems.
• Support better use of relationship management, communications, transaction and client-experience data.

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor's degree and at least two years in commercial insights or strategic analysis.
• Strong commercial judgment, project management and data-visualisation skills.
• Advanced Excel and proficiency with tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience using prompt engineering for coding, plus familiarity with applied statistics and Python for data retrieval, transformation and visualisation.
• Clear written and verbal communication; CRM or engagement-data experience is useful.
