Job summary

State of California seeks a Senior Management Auditor within the Office of Program Oversight and Accountability (OPOA). The role plans, organizes, reviews, and completes internal audits in line with auditing standards while supervising audit staff.

The incumbent assists the Director with external audit liaison and collaborates with DOJ programs in responding to findings. Responsibilities include developing the QAIP and the annual risk assessment and audit program to strengthen internal controls

Qualifications

• Senior Management Auditor position within the DOJ’s Office of Program Oversight and Accountability (OPOA).
• Must demonstrate strong judgment, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, review and complete internal audits in accordance with auditing standards.
• Supervise and develop audit staff assigned to audits.
• Assist the Director of OPOA with external audit liaison functions.
• Partner with DOJ programs when responding to external audit findings.
• Develop and oversee the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP).
• Develop the annual risk assessment and audit program.
