Job summary

Employment Development Department in California is hiring an Audit Manager in Sacramento with a hybrid work schedule. The Senior Management Auditor leads internal audits, coordinates with external auditors, and ensures compliance with laws and policies.

The role reports to the Audits, Risk Management, and Survey Research Section Chief and supervises a team of auditors. New to state candidates start at the minimum of the classification; salary range is $8,265.00 to $10,785.00 monthly.

  • Manage, organize, and supervise a team of audit supervisors and staff responsible for audit and evaluation assignments and external coordination.

The Audit and Evaluation Division supports EDD's goals by conducting independent, objective, and risk-based audits, evaluations, consultations, advisory services, external audit coordination, and other related services to strengthen the EDD's programs and ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards.

Under the general direction of the Audits, Risk Management, and Survey Research Section Chief, the Senior Management Auditor manages, organizes, and supervises a team of audit supervisors and staff responsible for audit and evaluation assignments and external audit coordination functions.

Telework Conditions. This position is headquartered in Downtown Sacramento and may be eligible for telework under the EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

This position is headquartered at the New Labor Agency Building (NLAB), a newly remodeled high-rise building.
