Tampa General Hospital Imaging South Tampa is seeking a Mammography Technologist 2 to perform screening and diagnostic mammography in a fast-paced radiology department. Under radiologist supervision, you will ensure high-quality imaging, patient comfort, and accurate documentation.

Full-time schedule with weekdays (Monday–Friday) at TGHI South Tampa location. Requires Florida CRT license, ARRT Mammography, and BLS. On-site work with opportunities for QC and equipment checks.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a 2-year Radiologic Technology Program from an accredited school.
• Current and valid Florida State License (CRT)
• Current and valid Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry and Mammography (M) registry
• Basic Life Support BLS through the American Heart Association (CPR)

Aufgaben

• Verifies that the prescription matches the procedure to be performed and records all reasons for the exam.
• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Positions patient and adjusts immobilization devices for optimum views.
• Operates mammography equipment setting exposure factors (time and distance).
• Processes radiologic digital images and checks technical quality.
• Verifies patient exams match orders in PACS and updates billing codes as needed.
• Present prior studies to radiologist for comparison.
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure.
• Stock/order supplies, check equipment and perform QC as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
