Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a 2-year Radiologic Technology Program from an accredited school.
• Current Florida CRT license.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist and Mammography registrations.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Verifies prescription aligns with procedure and records exam details.
• Explains procedures to reduce patient anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Positions patient and adjusts immobilization devices for optimum views.
• Sets exposure factors and moves equipment to correct positions.
• Processes digital images and checks technical quality.
• Verifies exam matches order in PACS and updates billing codes as needed.
• Reviews prior studies with radiologist for diagnostic assessment.
• Applies radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Stocks supplies, checks equipment health, and performs QC.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of a 2-year Radiologic Technology Program from an accredited school

Florida State License (CRT)

ARRT Radiologic Technologist registration and Mammography (M) registry

Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
