Job summary

The Woodlands Breast Center, part of Memorial Hermann Health System, is seeking a Mammographer to perform mammography exams and support quality assurance. This full-time role includes mentoring staff and assisting management with department operations.

The ideal candidate will hold a TX MRT license with ARRT-R/ARRT-M, have 4+ years of mammography experience, and demonstrate strong safety practices. On-site at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center with 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology school with Mammography Technology training.
• Current Texas Medical Board MRT license and ARRT-R/ARRT-M certifications.
• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
• Minimum of four years of Mammography Technologist experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform quality control and stereotactic exams.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography radiographic exams for patients, ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures, positioning, and image quality.
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, and monitor patient flow.
• Maintain equipment performance: quality assurance, equipment modifications, and troubleshooting.
• Enter and monitor patient data and health histories relevant to examinations.
• Act as a resource, mentor, and preceptor to technologists of all experience levels.
• Assist management with staffing schedules and department operations.
• Address patient complaints, resolve issues, and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain safety, environmental, and infection control procedures.
• Complete quality assurance documentation and accreditation requirements.
