Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA seeks a Senior Mammography Technologist for the Mobile Mammography Unit. You will perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography, oversee a mobile team, and bring essential breast health services to communities served by the program.

Minimum ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school certificate, ARRT (M) licensure, and 2 years of mammography experience required.

• ARRT licensure (including ARRT (M)).
• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience.

Responsibilities

• Explains examinations to patients and completes documentation; leads department operations and liaises with Imaging leadership.

In this role you will:

Conducts general screening and diagnostic Mammography and /or Bone Densitometry imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Leads department operations and staff. Acts as liaison to Imaging leadership. Participation in system Imaging Committees.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $43.60 - $64.84 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
