Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform specialized breast imaging procedures including stereotactic and MRI biopsies. You will operate mammography equipment, position patients, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires AMA/JRCERT-approved radiologic training, 2 years of mammography experience, and ARRT/ARDMS credentials with BLS. Opportunity to contribute to an award-winning team and advance patient care in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• 2 years experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• ARDMS or ARRT Radiography registration upon hire; ARRT Mammography registration upon hire; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality screening, diagnostic and other mammography procedures.
• Reviews exam requisitions for pertinent information and notes additional pertinent information.
• Positions patient and equipment, selects protocol, and ensures correct labeling of images.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and requests additional views as needed.
• Maintains records and files per Federal, State and regulatory agencies.
• Acts as a mentor for residents and junior technologists.
• Coordinates in the absence of lead technologists and ensures regulatory compliance.
