Job summary

NCHealth's Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, NC seeks a Radiology Supervisor for Mammography to oversee daily operations, lead the staff, and collaborate with radiologists and administration.

The role emphasizes CQI, budgeting support, policy development, and maintaining equipment per regulatory standards. Requires ARRT, BLS, MQSA, and 3+ years in imaging, preferably Mammography.

This is a full-time onsite position offering a structured environment within UNC Health and NC Health.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required and ongoing CE compliance.
• Three years of experience in an imaging discipline, Mammography preferred.
• MQSA education and on-the-job training provided to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Adopt and assist in the CQI process within the department and section, as well as those that cross into other departments within the healthcare system.
• Assist in the budget process including, but not limited to, capital equipment, minor equipment, estimated procedure volumes, and updating and creating new department procedure changes. Establish and modify supply inventory in response to changes in long and short-term business trends.
• Develop and updated department and section policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Maintain equipment according to all regulatory and institutional directives.
• Maintain clinical competency within discipline. Maintains PACS and RIS super-user status.
• Manage direct reports through regular staff meetings, yearly performance evaluations, counseling employees in issues related to professional growth and behavior. Interview potential employees and make hiring decisions. Manage personnel records, manage schedules including work, call, vacation, holiday, manage time and attendance.
• Review patient scheduling, participate in supervisor and staff meetings, maintain and open dialog with Radiologists and Department Administration.

Education

Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program
