Job summary

NC Health in Caldwell Memorial Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to perform routine mammography screening and diagnostic procedures. You will prepare patient information, access RIS/PACS, and contribute to patient education on self-breast examination.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences, MQSA training, and ARRS registry eligibility with timely certification. Onsite, 40 hours/week, day shifts, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• MQSA-required education and on the job training provided to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of routine mammography related diagnostic and screening procedures.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications in accordance with guidelines.
• Performs patient assessments and provides patient care including instruction in self-breast examination.
• Ensures safe procedure environment and maintains equipment and records.
• Evaluates patient information to determine procedure appropriateness and ensures accuracy of orders and patient data.
• Precepts new employees and students.
