Job summary

Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Mammographer to join the Breast Imaging Team. The post supports both the National Breast Screening service and a symptomatic service, requiring the ability to work in a team and independently while maintaining patient-centred care.

The role requires HCPC registration, a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, and a postgraduate mammography qualification, plus a current driving licence and car ownership.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered or eligible with current registration.
• Degree in Diagnostic Radiography and HCPC registration is essential.
• Postgraduate mammography qualification or approved equivalent is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Breast Screening and Assessment Centre at the RVI and in the community.
• Deliver a high-quality radiographic service following NHS policies and procedures.
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
• Collaborate with the Superintendent Radiographer to sustain effective professional relationships.
