Job summary

Set of X is seeking an experienced malware reverse engineering specialist to analyze and dissect advanced threats, uncover functionality, and develop detection tools. You will collaborate with intelligence analysts, software developers, and cybersecurity teams to produce actionable findings for federal partners while maintaining rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

Experience in reverse engineering, malware analysis, and cybersecurity.
Proficiency with assembly, C/C++, Python and scripting for analysis automation.
Familiarity with disassembly and debugging tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra, Radare2, OllyDbg, WinDbg).
Knowledge of OS internals (Windows, Linux, macOS) and networking/encryption basics.

Responsibilities

Analyze, dissect, and reverse‑engineer malware and APTs to uncover functionality.
Identify vulnerabilities and develop tools to enhance malware analysis and detection.
Collaborate with intelligence analysts, software developers, and cybersecurity teams.
Document findings and produce detailed technical reports for internal and federal partners.
Support incident response and forensics as needed to protect critical systems.
