Job summary

Black Eagle Defense is seeking a Reverse Engineer III to conduct in-depth analysis of malicious binaries, using both controlled execution and static assembly examination. You will uncover functionality, call-backs, and indicators of compromise to support attribution and defense.

The role requires advanced reverse engineering skills, experience with IOCs/APT analysis, and proficiency in YARA/SNORT for threat detection and signature creation.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree with 4 years of relevant experience
• Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience
• Associate's degree with 10 years may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience related to the position
• Bachelor's Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Relevant experience must be in malware reverse engineering
• CERTIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES CISSP, GIAC GREM, or CREA Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analysis of malicious binaries through controlled execution and/or static analysis of assembly code
• Overcome techniques designed to defeat analysis to ascertain functionality and indicators of compromise
• Provide information and documentation enabling malware detection, signature creation, and mitigation
