AEP Service Corporation, based in Indiana, seeks a senior Procurement Manager, Major Projects to serve as the primary procurement liaison for large transmission capital projects. You will develop and drive the integrated procurement plan, coordinate with engineering, construction, and project controls, and provide executive visibility into procurement readiness.
This role requires 8+ years of relevant experience, expertise in procurement processes, and strong stakeholder management.
The Procurement Manager, Major Projects, serves as the primary Procurement partner for assigned major transmission capital projects or programs. Embedded within the project team, this senior individual contributor leads procurement integration across materials, equipment, services, construction, supplier capacity, and contracting activities to support successful project delivery. Working through influence across Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, and Project Controls, the role develops and oversees the integrated procurement plan, anticipates and mitigates risks, aligns procurement activities with project milestones, and provides executive-level visibility into procurement readiness and performance. While not responsible for category strategy, supplier relationship ownership, material tracking, or overall project execution, this position coordinates these capabilities into a unified procurement strategy that supports project success.
