Job summary

Florida SouthWestern State College seeks a Philanthropy Officer III Collier County, FSW Foundation, to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts from high-net-worth individuals, with a focus on $100,000+ gifts.

You will manage up to 150 major gift prospects, develop strategies, and collaborate with college leadership to advance the foundation's fundraising efforts while documenting activities in RE NXT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in non‑profit management, marketing, communication, business, public administration, educational administration, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of professional nonprofit fundraising experience, preferably in higher education.
• Organizational longevity and a documented track record of major gift fundraising.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficiency using donor technology platforms to research and manage records.
• Ability to authentically connect with potential donors and promote the College vision.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and close major gifts from high-net-worth individuals ($100,000+).
• Manage a portfolio of up to 150 major gift prospects through discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Develop and execute short-, intermediate-, and long-term major gift nurturing strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with major gift donors to align with the College’s mission.
• Develop stewardship plans to retain and upgrade major donors and recognize giving appropriately.
• Collaborate with leadership to design and implement the College’s major giving program.
• Prepare proposals and conduct face-to-face solicitations with donors.
• Maintain records in RE NXT and submit monthly performance reports.
