Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese in Manchester, TN seeks an Maintenance Technician II to maximize operating efficiency by maintaining and repairing equipment in production and facility areas. You will respond quickly to line issues, perform preventative maintenance, and manage parts inventories.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of maintenance experience, with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of maintenance experience or more.
• Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings.
• Experience with production machinery and equipment.
• Welding ability (TIG, MIG and Stick).
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to production requests for immediate maintenance on the line.
• Maintain production equipment.
• Document and track preventative maintenance.
• Create requisitions for parts and supplies.
• Identify issues and implement permanent solutions.
