Job summary

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all commercial equipment supporting Walmart stores. The role includes developing maintenance schedules, completing PMs within timeframes, and training Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.

Minimum qualifications include 5 years of maintenance experience, a valid state driver’s license with a clean MVR, and 1 year of experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in maintenance.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record report.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and perform preventative maintenance on facilities, equipment and fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules, providing required written and electronic information such as expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, and maintenance logs.
• Train Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.
