Indiana University Health System in Indianapolis is seeking a full-time facilities maintenance technician to service and repair building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life-safety equipment.
You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to calls, read blueprints, train teammates, and mentor others while complying with healthcare codes. A work truck will be provided during working hours as needed.
This is a full-time position. The standard hours are 7:00am until 3:30pm. Team member will be required to work on-call rotations. A work truck will be provided for team member during working hours.
7 different off-site locations. Most locations are near downtown Indianapolis.
Performs scheduled and non-scheduled preventive maintenance, responding to dispatched general maintenance calls, and troubleshooting/repairing secondary utility systems of buildings, plumbing, air-conditioning, electrical and air systems. Maintains, repairs and inspects specialized machinery and equipment in accordance with code and regulatory requirements. Recommends through the appropriate channels any improvements and corrections to the facilities equipment and/or systems that meet overall patient care needs. Coordinates functions with other services and departments. Trains colleagues on various skills and tasks. Acts as a resource or mentor to colleagues and provides general leadership to the team. Performs other related duties as assigned.
