Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III for the Church Hill / Fairmount community in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on advanced apartment maintenance, troubleshooting, and mentoring other technicians to ensure high-quality service for residents.

Applicants should have HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills, plus the ability to manage work orders and participate in on-call shifts. The position offers daily M–F hours with on-call duties as scheduled.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of residential, multifamily, or related maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and repairs.
• Experience leading or mentoring maintenance staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs in apartments, common areas, grounds, and building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and painting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues with strong customer service.
• Lead, train and support maintenance team members.
• Complete service requests and work orders per company standards.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and property inspections.
• Maintain curb appeal through groundskeeping and related tasks.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.
