Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership in Escondido, CA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to respond to guest repair requests, inspect and repair building systems, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with shifts, and train other engineers while maintaining safety standards and exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventive maintenance and MEP systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills with safe tool use.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
• Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues with little supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Read blueprints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC.
• Troubleshoot and repair hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Train and mentor other engineers as necessary.
