Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an experienced maintenance technician in Wytheville, VA to repair and maintain plant machinery. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years vocational or one year technical strongly preferred.
• Minimum of five years of general maintenance experience.
• Advanced skill level equivalent to journeyman in electrical, hydraulics, boiler operations, mechanical, pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment.
• Perform boiler and mechanical room operations; start-ups and shutdowns.
• Calibrate gauges and instruments; troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Maintain critical parts inventory; work on special projects as assigned.
