Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or automated manufacturing.
• Engineering or equivalent technical education.
• 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment – plastics preferred.
• Proven track record of driving significant efficiency improvements and cost reduction efforts.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Thorough knowledge of problem-solving techniques (kaizen, value stream mapping).
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Work with other departments to improve safety, quality, and production processes, reduce delays, increase efficiency and cut costs.
• Apply lean, Six Sigma, and A3 problem-solving methods to improve quality and cost effectiveness.
• Identify root causes using statistical methods and recommend design or process changes.
• Promote data-driven decisions over opinions.
• Introduce new equipment, methods, and processes to improve operations.
• Design testing methods and calculate process capabilities to meet standards.
• Develop control systems to improve cycle times and product quality.
• Analyze process data to identify trends and reduce variation.
• Participate in department goal setting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and solve chronic problems and failures.
