Job summary

Walgreens in Mount Vernon, IL is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to keep the facility running and to repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and conveyor systems. You will tackle complex maintenance tasks and promptly address issues to minimize downtime.

You will mentor technicians, use CMMS for preventive work, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced distribution center environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a facility, distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with industrial electricity including single and three phase power, motors and protective devices.
• Experience with electronics such as PLCs, photo sensors, I/Os, servo drives and VFDs.
• Ability to climb to height, lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending and reaching tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and complex repairs on DC equipment and material-handling systems.
• Uses CMMS to document and schedule maintenance per manufacturer recommendations.
• Mentors and develops Maintenance Technicians under management direction.
• Maintains a safe work environment by addressing safety issues related to equipment.
