Job summary

Compass Group USA's Canteen in Memphis, TN is hiring a Senior Maintenance Technician for a full-time role. The position covers HVAC and refrigeration systems, with hours 11:00 am–7:00 pm, and pay ranging from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour. Online applications only.

The ideal candidate has five years of institutional maintenance experience, a Journeyman license (Electrical, Plumber, or related), EPA refrigerant certification, a valid driver's license, and strong diagnostic and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
• Journeyman license in a relevant trade (Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to read blueprints/specifications.
• EPA refrigeration certification or equivalent licensing.
• Experience overseeing maintenance projects and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrates advanced diagnostic skills across equipment types.
• Reads blueprints and plans work layout; maintains logs and uses company systems.
• Oversees maintenance projects and mentors department staff.
• Responds to emergency problems and performs preventive maintenance when needed.
• Reviews work by outside vendors and coordinates deadlines.
