Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; able to read instructions, diagrams and engineer drawings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical trade, materials, tools and applicable electrical codes.
• Five years of maintenance trade; apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Installs, alters, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring systems, fixtures, transformers, and other electrical equipment.
• Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
• Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables between machines and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged wires and cables.
• Performs preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines following manuals and specs.
• Repairs, alters and maintains a variety of tools and equipment.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses issues with maintenance team and supervisor.
• Replaces faulty electrical components and positions sensing devices.
• Plans wiring layouts and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Repairs and maintains HVAC systems and electrical heating units.
• Calibrates and makes related adjustments.
• Moves and adjusts fixtures, motors and equipment.
• Adheres to safety practices and ISO9001 requirements.
• Repairs forktrucks, laser equipment, robot welders, CNC equipment; initiates requisitions for parts.
