Job summary

DNOW is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician in Texas to perform routine and preventive maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, and shop equipment.

The role supports the Maintenance supervisor on projects at the DNOW Corporate campus and requires strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. You will document service reports, follow OSHA standards, and collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime while seeking upgrades and cost-saving practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance focusing on overhead crane systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical/hydraulic manuals and schematics.
• Familiarity with OSHA crane inspection standards and safety practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and independent work capability.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights during crane service.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment with inspections and lubrication.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to cranes and shop machinery.
• Maintain fabrication shop equipment such as welders and plasma cutters and grinders.
• Conduct facility upkeep including doors, lighting, ventilation systems, and other infrastructure.
• Keep accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and service reports per OSHA and manufacturer requirements.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to operations.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, safety improvements, and cost-saving maintenance practices.
