Job summary

Kohl's in Groveport, OH is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to coordinate repairs and perform equipment and facility maintenance in a cost-effective manner. You will inspect conveyors and equipment daily, maintain air systems, fire protection, heating and cooling, and assist outside contractors to ensure optimal processing productivity.

The role requires hands-on skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, strict adherence to MSDS standards and lock-out/tag procedures,

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of MSDS standards and lock-out/tag procedures.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipment.
• Preventative maintenance of air compressors, compactors, bailers, cardboard conveyors and material handling equipment.
• Inspect and repair fire protection equipment.
• Manage parts inventory.
• Plan and coordinate future preventive maintenance with supervisors/managers.
• Collaborate with department managers to improve productivity.
• Provide back-up for department leadership when needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reports.
• Provide on-the-job training to associates.
• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting, and office moves.
• Maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning units.
• Maintain facility lighting and assist external contractors.
• Respond promptly to jams, malfunctions or maintenance issues.
