Job summary

Avignon Townhomes in Redmond, WA, seeks an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to ensure that buildings, grounds, and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on appliances, systems, and equipment.

You will also handle make-ready projects, coordinate with vendors, and maintain exterior areas. Strong painting, carpentry, and basic plumbing skills plus solid communications are required.

Avignon Townhomes has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician! Our team members are high performers that care about customer service and exceed expectations. The Senior Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in our success.

Avignon Townhomes is a 272 unit garden style community located near Downtown Redmond. Stylish finishes and high-end amenities in these townhome style apartments pair well with community features like a pool and fitness center.

This position performs technical and mechanical work that ensures the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the property meet the Company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

What your day might look like

• Being part of a team and having fun while providing excellent customer service
• Complete resident service requests and repairs in a timely manner (including appliance repairs)
• Prepare apartments for new move in’s by completing “make-ready” process
• Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas
• Assist with vendor management and other duties
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections for equipment

What we are looking for

• Knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
• Previous experience with painting, entry level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing
• High level of professionalism in both manner and dress
• Excellent communication skills: ability to read, write and communicate effectively
• Proficient in MS Office Suite

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Completes assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service, as well as preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem, and making repairs in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
2. Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the pre-move-out inspection, creating a “punch” list of maintenance work needed, scheduling vendors and contractors as needed, obtaining needed supplies and materials, completing all maintenance tasks, and inspecting completed work
