Paragon Tempered Glass, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to directly impact production uptime at our Antwerp, OH facility. You will troubleshoot and repair glass processing equipment, lead maintenance responses, and ensure safety with lockout/tagout practices.

The role requires 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

• Pass a drug screen and background check.

Mansioni

• Troubleshooting and repairing glass cutting, grinding, drilling, washing, conveying, and tempering equipment.
• Lead 3rd-shift maintenance response and prioritize repairs affecting production and safety.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system faults.
• Perform preventive maintenance during scheduled downtime, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacement.
• Use schematics, OEM manuals, and fault history to identify root causes of failures.
• Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, safety circuits, and PLC controlled equipment.
• Support furnace and quench reliability by checking rollers, drives, etc.
• Coordinate with production supervisors on equipment status and safe restart.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and verify safety before maintenance work.
• Document service calls, parts used, repair time, and follow-up work in maintenance system.
• Coach less experienced technicians and hand off unresolved issues to next shift.
• Assist with testing facility systems such as fire alarms, exit door alarms, emergency lighting, and occasional grounds maintenance.

Requirements

The Role

In this role, you will directly impact Paragon’s success by:

• Troubleshooting and repairing glass cutting, grinding, drilling, washing, conveying, and tempering equipment.
• Leading 3rd-shift maintenance response and prioritizing repairs that affect production and safety.
• Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system faults.
• Performing and teaching preventive maintenance during scheduled downtime, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacement.
• Using schematics, drawings, OEM manuals, and fault history to find root causes of failures.
• Troubleshooting motors, drives, sensors, safety circuits, and PLC controlled equipment.
• Supporting furnace and quench reliability by checking rollers, drives, blowers, fans, and related systems.
• Responding to equipment breakdowns, identifying root causes, and making repairs that prevent repeat failures.
• Coordinating with production supervisors on equipment status, repair priorities, and safe restart.
• Following lockout/tagout procedures and verifying equipment is safe before maintenance work.
• Documenting service calls, parts used, repair time, and follow-up work in the maintenance system.
• Coaching less experienced technicians and providing a clear handoff of unresolved issues to the next shift.
• Assisting with testing facility systems such as fire alarms, exit door alarms, and emergency lighting, plus occasional grounds maintenance.

Shift & Pay

Reports to: Maintenance Manager · Pay type: Hourly · Location: Antwerp, OH

Must be able to work overtime as needed.

3rd Shift

• Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Base Pay: Commensurate with experience and knowledge
• Shift Premium: $1.00 per hour

Qualifications for Maintenance Technician

• Able to pass drug screen & background check
• Minimum of 3 years of previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude; electrical aptitude desired
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment and processes
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multitask with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude, ready to learn and adapt
• Safety-first mindset with a working knowledge of lockout/tagout, PPE, and safe work practices around industrial equipment. Minimum Required PPE: Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Safety-toe shoes.
• Physical Requirements: Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.; able to bend, reach, lie down, climb, and stand for long periods
• Work Environment: Exposure to excessive heat and electricity, working at heights, wet and dirty conditions; able to work indoors or outdoors
