Who We Are
At Freedom Enterprises, we own and operate 60+ Scooter’s Coffee locations across KS, MO, NE, and IA—and we’re growing fast. We’re all about great coffee, hard work, and positive energy.
We’re looking for a Senior Maintenance Technician to help keep our shops running smoothly and our equipment in top shape. This role blends hands-on technical work with behind-the-scenes coordination. You’ll report to the VP of Operations and work closely with the Facilities Coordinator and Project Manager.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support the upkeep of facilities and equipment, assist in vendor coordination, and play a key role in keeping our stores functioning at a high level. About 50% of your time will be spent working on Franke espresso machine repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle Franke espresso machine repair and service (training and certification provided)
Coordinate and follow up with external vendors for repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance
Input and organize invoices and vendor records in UpKeep and budget documents
Track preventative maintenance (PM) completion and follow up on missing reports
Answer phones, monitor maintenance email inboxes, and flag priority items
Inventory check-ins/outs for storage units
Assist with document management, calendar organization, and audit preparation
Provide general admin support to the Facilities Coordinator and Project Manager
Travel occasionally for light in-store repair support or equipment checks
Must-Haves
2+ years of general maintenance or technical repair experience
Strong communication skills
Comfortable lifting 50 lbs or more and working in confined spaces when on-site
Valid driver’s license
Comfortable with occasional travel, evenings, or weekends as needed
Self-starter with strong organizational and follow-through skills
Background check required
Bonus Points
Experience repairing or servicing espresso machines (especially Franke)
Knowledge of basic repairs, plumbing and electrical
Experience coordinating vendor work or tracking service tickets
