Summary: The Sr. Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing advanced mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery used in the copper manufacturing process. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various systems to ensure efficient plant operations while minimizing downtime.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assists in training and mentoring junior maintenance staff and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinates and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on manufacturing equipment, including presses, mills, furnaces, and conveyors.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns, and perform necessary preventative maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve complex equipment malfunctions and failures, ensuring quick and effective solutions to minimize production downtime.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and modification of new equipment and systems in the plant.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment repairs, inspections, parts used, and time spent on tasks.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or an associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or a related field .
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a heavy industrial or metalworking environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery and equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and basic programming knowledge is .
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and hand tools to perform maintenance tasks.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and ability to work in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and with other departments.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
