Job summary
Rise Baking Company in York, PA, is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Mechanic to keep our plant equipment and facilities running safely and efficiently. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems, and perform preventive maintenance in a fast‑paced bakery environment.
Responsibilities include leading maintenance projects, ensuring food safety compliance, and mentoring junior staff. This role requires TPM knowledge, CMMS experience, and strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in electronics/maintenance mechanics or 2-year degree with 10+ years of maintenance experience.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, machine shop, electricity, or electronics.
- Advanced TPM practices and CMMS knowledge.
- Strong communication and ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems in plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems in plant equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
- Lead maintenance projects including machine rebuilds and new equipment installs.
- Report food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel.
- Comply with food safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Train and mentor others.
