Job summary

Visionworks of America in San Antonio, TX seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair on eyewear fabrication equipment, from simple electromechanical devices to multi-axis CNC machinery.

You will follow CMMS schedules, read electrical/mechanical drawings, mentor Tech I staff, and uphold OSHA safety standards while contributing to Predictive Maintenance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
• Ability to read Mechanical and Electrical drawings.
• Working knowledge in electronics and strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance per CMMS schedule.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, fluid, and air systems.
• Calibrate and repair components including circuit boards.
• Mentor Maintenance Technicians (Tech I).
• Support Predictive Maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures for safety.
