Haynes Furniture and The Dump in Virginia Beach is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to oversee commercial maintenance, construction, and remodeling under supervisor guidance. The role focuses on carpentry, drywall, painting, and lighting maintenance while ensuring safety and quality.

This full-time, on-site position requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial maintenance or construction experience.
• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Reliable to work scheduled shifts, with some on-call weekends.
• Respect, adaptability, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, sheet rock and metal stud construction.
• Handle trim work, painting and drywall finishing.
• Conduct building inspections and lighting maintenance.
• Follow procedures with the ability to manage multiple steps.
• Complete facilities inspection reports listing deficiencies and needed supplies.
• Adhere to safety precautions and report accidents.
• Learn carpentry, sheet rock, painting and construction through tasks.
• Work around customers and employees in a retail environment.
• Receive guidance on maintenance projects from facilities leadership.
