Job summary

US Architect of the Capitol in Washington, DC seeks a Maintenance Assistant General Supervisor to oversee the trades, crafts, and labor functions within the Library Buildings and Grounds facilities. You will manage construction, renovation, installation, maintenance and repair projects for the maintenance evening, night, and fire electronics, elevator, and plumbing shop staff.

Qualifications

Ability to supervise the trades, crafts, and labor functions of construction, renovation, installation projects and maintenance and repair projects.
WS-13: possess experience and analytical skills to perform on the job, including supervision of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance tasks.
Planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, procurement, and contractor oversight requirements.
Addressing employee performance and conduct issues.

Responsibilities

Oversee operations that perform heating and cooling (HVAC), electrical work, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks.
Plan, schedule, and oversee maintenance, repair, renovation, and construction activities, including workload management, budgeting, staffing, procurement, and contractor oversight.
