US Architect of the Capitol in Washington, DC seeks a Maintenance Assistant General Supervisor to oversee the trades, crafts, and labor functions within the Library Buildings and Grounds facilities. Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic Assistant General Supervisor located in the esteemed Architect of the Capitol, Library Buildings and Grounds (LBG), Facilities Operations Division. As the Maintenance Assistant General Supervisor, you will oversee the trades, crafts, and labor functions of construction, renovation, installation, maintenance and repair projects for the maintenance evening, night, and fire electronics, elevator, and plumbing shop trade staff.

You must meet the following SCREEN-OUT(S) required for this position:

Ability to supervise the trades, crafts, and labor functions of construction, renovation, installation projects and maintenance and repair projects.

WS-13: Must possess relevant experience and analytical skills to perform on the job, as well as the functional and technical skills required of the role, to include:

• Supervising operations that perform heating and cooling (HVAC), electrical work, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks;
• Planning, scheduling, and overseeing maintenance, repair, renovation, and construction activities, including workload management, budgeting, staffing, procurement, and contractor oversight; and
• Addressing employee performance and conduct issues.
