Job summary

Monroe Group Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance staff and ensure safe, efficient operation of apartment buildings in Indiana. You will manage electrical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry tasks, supervise vendors, and keep detailed records.

The role requires hands-on skills, reliability, and the ability to respond to emergencies. A high school diploma and relevant licenses are preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of maintenance technician experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• At least 1 year of experience in an affordable housing environment preferred.
• HVAC experience preferred and technical training or license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Perform duties related to work orders including electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, HVAC and related repairs.
• Maintain vacant apartments per standards: schedule vendors, flooring, painting, cleaning and appliance replacement.
• Monitor and manage budget, maintain inventory and organize records.
• Schedule and complete Preventive Maintenance and supervise outside contractors as needed.
• Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance coverage and on-call support.
• Assist with annual inspections (backflow, elevators, fire panels, extinguishers).
• Ensure safety standards comply with company, local and federal guidelines.
