Qualifications

• 8+ years in maintenance, reliability, or engineering in automated distribution, fulfillment, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
• 3+ years of leadership managing supervisors, technicians, or maintenance teams in a multi-shift operation.
• Experience leading maintenance, reliability, or operational improvement initiatives.
• Experience leading within a unionized workforce preferred.
• Knowledge of automated material handling systems, conveyors, controls, PLCs, motors and drives, sensors, electrical systems, and related equipment.
• Experience using CMMS platforms to guide preventive maintenance, work management, planning, scheduling, and asset reliability.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Reliability, Industrial Technology, Facilities Management, or a related field; certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Shift Supervisors and Maintenance Technicians with a focus on safety, accountability, engagement, continuous improvement, and labor relations.
• Oversee equipment reliability across material handling, automation, facilities, utilities, HVAC, forklifts, and critical assets.
• Establish and manage preventive and predictive maintenance, asset health monitoring, CMMS governance, and reliability reporting.
• Guide reliability through root cause analysis and preventive maintenance optimization.
• Provide technical leadership for automation, controls, PLC/HMI, WCS/WES, and related systems; manage vendors and contractors.
• Manage spare parts, storeroom operations, contractor performance, and service providers to ensure continuity.
• Ensure compliance with safety/environmental/regulatory standards (OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, etc.).
• Develop lifecycle, asset health, and capital replacement strategies with cross-functional partners.
• Lead facility improvements, automation upgrades, and capital projects from commissioning to readiness.
• Build technical capability via training and qualification programs.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and reliability engineering to improve safety, service levels, and cost.
