Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana, seeks a Maintenance Planning Superintendent to lead planning and scheduling for a heavy manufacturing site. You will optimize preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance, coordinate with operations and contractors, and drive CMMS data quality and efficiency.

The role emphasizes safety, cost-effective maintenance execution, and strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, supply chain, and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, maintenance management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 7–10 years of progressive maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing or asset-intensive operations.
• Leadership experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability management.
• Proficiency with CMMS platforms such as ORACLE, SAP PM, IBM Maximo.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site maintenance planning and scheduling team to ensure work is prioritized, planned, and executed with quality and efficiency.
• Develop and improve planning processes for preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities.
• Establish planning standards for job scoping, labor estimates, materials, tools, and sequencing.
• Drive weekly and daily scheduling with operations to balance production, asset risk, and resources.
• Manage backlog, work order quality, and schedule compliance to increase planned work.
• Oversee major shutdowns and outages including scope development and contractor planning.
• Ensure spare parts, BOM, kitting, and procurement support timely execution of planned work.
• Monitor CMMS data quality and asset hierarchy; support root cause analysis.
